I write fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Over the past years, I've been working on two books. One is about relationship addiction, chronic pain, climate change, and working in tech in the Bay Area. The other is a memoir about grief, writing, and friendship.

From 2013-2019, I worked at Airbnb, primarily building out the engineering team as a technical recruiter. Now, I do recruiting strategy consulting, mostly for early and mid-stage startups.

With Phillippe Siclait, I created the Equity for Impact initiative, to rally and inspire Airbnb shareholders to donate a portion of our equity proceeds to charity, with the hope of creating a new model for giving within tech.

My writing has been published in [PANK], Catapult, Electric Lit, The Rumpus, Hobart, No Tokens, and many other places. My short story, "All The Secrets of the Universe," was the top read story on Joyland West in 2018. My flash piece, "I Don't Know Where Exactly His Grave Is" was nominated for Best Micro Fictions and my poem "Allowable, Sure, But Potentially Doomed," was nominated for a Pushcart. Vida, The Atlantic, and a bunch of other places really liked this essay of mine, about being addicted to a game on my phone. I've worked as an Assistant Interviews Editor for The Rumpus since 2018.

With Caroline Kessler, I created the 18 Somethings Project, a generative writing experience, which had over 300 participants in our most recent (shelter-in-place) edition.

Rarely Twitter and more often Instagram. Monthly, I send out a missive called Eleven Things, which you can sign up for here.
